MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) – A national marijuana advocacy group is seeking a part-time organizer in Vermont for legislative efforts.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports Matt Simon, New England political director of the Marijuana Policy Project, said the Vermont organizer will lead an effort to build on the progress that led the Legislature to decriminalize possession of small amounts of the drug in 2013.
The group plans to support the reintroduction of a bill to legalize marijuana in January.
