ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — Two town residents were arrested Thursday in an operation conducted by the Vermont State Police Drug Task Force, according to police.

After conducting several controlled purchases of fentanyl, the task force executed a search warrant at the Rockingham residence of Randy Holmes, 27, and Ashley Cloutier, 26, according to the news release. A large quantity of fentanyl packaged for sale was discovered inside the home, the release said. According to the release, police also found that the couple were growing marijuana in large amounts and possessed prescription medication for which neither had a valid prescription.
